3D printer MakerBot Method

MakerBot Method 3D Printer

The MakerBot Method 3D Printer is a high-performance 3D printer that requires no extra effort in 3D printing and delivers maximum innovation with minimum investment.

The MakerBot Method prints twice as fast as leading desktop printers and offers a seamless workflow from 3D model to finished part. This 3D printer has a working chamber heated to 60 °C, thanks to which it is able to print complex and durable parts from ABS plastic. Method is developed using industry-leading Stratasys patents. The printer includes high quality components such as a heated build chamber, precision soluble supports, and a material pre-dryer. Ideal for rapid prototypes, conformance tests, and conceptual iterations.

Best for:

  • Quick prototypes.
  • Fit tests.
  • Concept iterations.

MakerBot Method features

  • Dual Performance Extruders.
  • Sealed compartment for storing material in a dry environment.
  • Build chamber with air circulation and heating up to 60 °C.
  • Wi-Fi connectivity and 21 built-in sensors.
  • Remote monitoring and printing.
  • 25 compatible CAD file types.
  • 5'' full color capacitive touchscreen.
  • The MakerBot Method has been tested for over 300,000 hours.

High-quality 3D printing with durable plastics on the Stratasys platform

With a closed chamber heated to 60 °C, you can print with plastics such as ABS, PETG, Tough and others on your MakerBot Method.

  • It is able to withstand 15 °C higher temperatures than modified ABS desktop 3D printers.
  • Works on Stratasys SR30 Soluble Substrate.
  • Excellent adhesion of layers provides higher Z-axis strength without warping or twisting.
  • Dimensional accuracy of the finished part ± 0.2 mm.
  • Print complex assemblies with precise tolerances.

Automated industrial 3D printing

  • Print up to 2x faster than leading desktop 3D printers.
  • 300,000+ hours of testing on 150+ printers.
  • Full CAD integration with AUTODESK Fusion 360, AUTODESK Inventor and Solidworks.

Rigid metal frame

To achieve stability and accuracy of printing, it is necessary to compensate for deformations and vibrations of the 3D printer body. To prevent them, the MakerBot Method design is optimized with an ultra-rigid metal frame. It runs the entire length of the body to compensate for bends. Less flex means more stable prints with more detail accuracy and fewer bounces.

Excellent layers adhesion and part strength

Heated circulation chamber.

Temperature control and quality control of each layer, not just the first. The heating of the worktable is effective in reducing warpage and peeling of the first layers. Method gives you the ability to control temperature conditions throughout the entire printing time.

Speed and dimensional accuracy

Dual performance extruders

The Dual Performance Extruder system is designed from the ground up to speed up print times and ensure dimensional accuracy on every part. Intelligent sensors for material management and print security. Each printer extruder contains a set of sensors that detect problems such as filament breakage or plastic jams in the extruder during the entire printing period. It's like offline protection for your print and your printer.

Increased torque with 19:1 dual drive ratio

The 19:1 dual drive gear ratio ensures consistent material flow and is ready to be extruded reliably on every layer. Extended thermal core with heating time less than 60 seconds.

Optimized material storage

Dry material compartment with excellent sealing.

Stable moisture content of the material is a very important parameter that directly affects the print quality. The function of keeping materials in a sealed dry environment was previously only available in industrial 3D printers.

The MakerBot Method 3D printer's sealed material bays form a near-perfect seal that protects the material from moisture build-up. A set of built-in sensors ensures that your material is stored in an optimal environment.

Exceptional and reliable performance

Get true-to-life industrial grade ABS products with accurate dimensions at a fraction of the traditional manufacturing cost. The MakerBot Method 3D Printer lowers your costs and saves time in small production runs. You can easily get prototypes from industrial ABS plastic with properties close to injection molded parts. Print accurate assemblies and validate your designs to get your products to market faster. All this for a fraction of the cost of industrial 3D printing. Create durable, real ABS parts for your manufacturing floor. Print jigs, tools and implements with precise dimensions that are perfect for existing components.
